I love to wear white in the summer. It complements your sun-kissed skin (or fake tan…because: British summer eh), is easy to combine with other colours and simply is versatile whether it’s for a casual or more polished look.
Whilst all-white outfits look amazing, I’m the girl who can’t, in Carrie Bradshaw words ‘wear white and not spill on it’. So opting for one white piece in the outfit for me is much more realistic. And a white top definitely is my favourite way to wear white. I picked this cold shoulder top from believe it or not – Primark! I’m sure it was around £10 mark and it was a no brainer. I’m not always keen on Primark clothes but you can find hidden gems if you have the patience to rummage though the whole store.
I have put together five ways of how you can style your white top as well as suggestions for a white top if you don’t own or fancy to pick up a new one.
I paired my white cold shoulder top with stepped hem denim jeans, mules (totally smitten with these), neutral clutch and of course some jewellery to complete the outfit. For a lunch date, going to town, and outdoor events in the summer I think this is perfect.
Prints & Patterns
A bold print or a pattern in a form of trousers or shorts will nicely contrast with the white top. This will give a cool vibe to the whole outfit.
Monochrome outfits are very chic and easy to achiev! Go for trousers or black denim as well as dark accessories.
For those days when you want to look all glam opt for culottes or white skinnies. Metallic and neutral accessories will complement the look perfectly.
Add Statement Accessories
Keep everything else neutral and let the bold accessories pop. This can be either colourful necklace, bright shoe or print bag.
